WATV was recently presented with a donation of $1,560.00 from the JIM MCCREADY FUND GRANT in memory of the one year anniversary of Rick Dorion’s passing. We are so grateful for this generous donation and it will support many children as they move into their Fall programs. THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH.

We are grateful to the Tonglen Foundation of Barrie Ontario for their on-going support of the programs at We Are The Villagers.  Their $1,000 donation will go to help the over 200 children on our waiting list get in to the extra-curricular activity of their choosing.  More smiley faces in Barrie this week as we are able to move many children from the waiting list to an active program because of your generosity. DR. FARQUHAR AND HIS TEAM at Huronia Dental Centre are raising money for the kids at We Are The Villagers CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS – it is so wonderful to have Villagers such as yourself making a difference in the lives of children.  They are almost at $3000 towards their fundraiser! Until June, Huronia Dental is giving $2 from every recall appointment to WATV to help kids pay for programs that they otherwise couldn’t afford. Help Huronia Dental Centre make a difference in the community and reach their goal of $4000!

MIDLAND Y’S MEN

We thank our new Community Partner, the Midland’s Y’s Men’s Club for taking the time to get to know us and endorsing our programs and what we do not only in words, but by raising money and donating to our kids programs. We also want to share that they raised $7,500 to cover the cost of the youth being able to use the Y’s facilities for free every Friday during the year. We urge everyone in our Villagers program and others to take part in this extraordinary endeavour that they do. Together our organizations bring much joy to the kids in our community. WE ARE THE VILLAGERS is pleased to be affiliated with Driven Athletics in Midland. Alex and his crew bring out the best in all the kids that we place in their capable care. Alex and Joanne also raise money for us every year during their Burpee Event and also put on a fund raiser during an exhibition. These funds go such a long way and mean so much in making a difference in the lives of children. We just love all the smiley faces and watching the maturity of the kids that we have in your gym. BETTER LIFE CHIROPRACTIC

Thanks to the Better Life Chiropractic Team many children will come off the waiting list and for the first time enter a program. Dr. Darryl Thomson and his team raised $2,920 through 50/50 & prize draws during the grand opening celebration.  In addition Better Life Chiropractic donated $20 for every new patient they receive. Because of an amazing group of men known as GUYS WHO CARE SIMCOE NORTH, a lot of children will come off our waiting list and will be going into a program of their choice be it art, music, sports and so much more. 75 awesome men in our community each wrote a cheque for $200.00 to We Are The Villagers raising $15,000 in one evening FOR THE KIDS. GEORGIAN BAKERY

Georgian Bakery on King Street in Downtown Midland. The generosity and love that was put into their contribution to our 100th Library/We Are The Villagers fundraiser was addictive. The creations for that event – cupcakes with books and other amazing toppings – was not only a hit but turned out to be a huge topic of discussion while everyone tried to figure out how it was done. We truly enjoy working with you.

THE ELEGANT GOURMET

We are the Villagers receives support through the sales of truffles made by The Elegant Gourmet on King Street in Midland.  Mountain Truffles have been a big hit at the store since they were created nearly a decade ago by Susan and Glen Canning’s four year old son.  Now 12, Matthew Canning has been making mountain truffles for eight years and shares the proceeds with WATV.  THANK YOU.
